Advice: Don't procrastinate. The workload can add up quickly. Prevent yourself from falling behind by prioritizing your tasks.

Advice: Ask for help when you don't understand how things work here and be patient. It takes time to truly find your place and build new relationships; just be patient and great things will happen.

Advice: I would tell an incoming transfer student to not be intimidated by the size of the university. As time progresses you will meet more people, and it will feel smaller and less intimidating.

Advice: UGA is no walk in the park, but it is also important that you don't get discouraged. Though it may seem like you're alone on this journey, there are people who really want to see you succeed and are willing to help guide you in the right direction.

Advice: Get involved in an organization that you are passionate about. At UGA, there is a club for everything and everyone. Joining a student organization is a great way to make friends when you first arrive.

Advice: Do not try to follow a perfect plan. Be flexible. It is okay to not be in seven clubs right away. Take it one day at a time, and ask for help, if needed!

Advice: It may take a while to make friends and find your place, but there will always be a niche for you at UGA regardless of who you are or your interests. When I first came here, I didn't know if I really belonged or if there was a place for me here. But I eventually found my niche and I love UGA even more now!

Advice: I would recommend for them to join the Success for Transfer Students Class (UNIV 2302) because this class helps us adjust and be informed about all the resources UGA has to offer.

Advice: Don't be afraid to dive into what you're passionate about. To get the most out of your UGA experience, you need to put yourself out there and get involved in activities you enjoy. It is a great way to meet friends who share similar feelings and a great way to make this UGA experience your own.

Advice: Say yes to invitations and opportunities. It can feel vulnerable, but you will find the people and organizations that really make you feel more comfortable and happier.

Advice: Whether you transfer knowing everyone, or knowing no one, you will find that everyone here is extremely nice and caring and supportive and nonjudgmental. Even if it feels extensively petrifying right now/at times, there's always going to be someone who is absolutely and genuinely willing to help you. Since the campus is insanely massive, it is completely beyond impossible for you to not find your niche.
